In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful "Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32). "And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93). "If you do good, you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil, (you do it) to yourselves. Then, when the latter (final) promise came, they (your enemies) will sadden your faces, and to enter the Masjid (in Jerusalem), as they entered it the first time, and will destroy what they had taken over with (total) destruction (Al-Isra, 17: 7). *** While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son). After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD. By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD. So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents. No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians. No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since. This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948. The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

According to 'Hamad, the attack occurred less than an hour after the meeting began. As the delegation heard the sound of missiles, it became clear they were the target of an assassination attempt, he said in an interview with Al Jazeera. 'Hamad noted that the delegation, experienced with Israeli airstrikes, quickly evacuated the area, which was hit by approximately 12 missiles in under a minute. He described the situation as extremely dangerous and confirmed that the targeted leaders managed to escape unharmed. US complicity? 'Hamad did not rule out US complicity, accusing Washington of enabling Israel’s ongoing destruction of Gaza and its effort to erase life in the Gaza Strip, through ethnic cleansing. He labeled these actions as part of a “bloody agenda” that is now “clear to everyone.” A regional threat 'Hamad warned that Arab and Islamic capitals are no longer safe from Israel’s aggression, suggesting that the incident in Doha signals a broader threat. “Cairo, Riyadh, Baghdad, and Amman are not immune from this US-backed Israeli madness,” he said. He stressed that this is a critical test for the dignity and security of the Arab and Islamic nations. “Netanyahu, who is wanted by the ICC, openly speaks about redrawing the map of the Middle East, bombards Beirut and Damascus, and now threatens every Arab capital,” Hamad added. Call for responsibility 'Hamad urged not only Palestinians but the entire Arab and international community to take a stand, saying, “Israel has crossed all red lines. Its strike in Do'ha proves it seeks to impose peace through force and thuggery, not diplomacy.” Bitter experience with US mediation Describing US mediation efforts as “bitter,” 'Hamad criticized American envoy Steve Witkoff’s conduct. He claimed the US failed to honor its promises and frequently changed its positions, showing clear alignment with Israel. Accusations against Trump 'Hamad accused US President Donald Trump of allowing the assassination attempt to happen just hours after 'Hamas submitted its response through Qatari intermediaries. He said Trump failed to prevent an attack on Qatari soil, despite Qatar being a strategic US ally. He stated that the US never acted as a serious mediator. Instead, it enabled Israel’s war crimes, including the targeting of negotiators and the supply of weapons used to kill Palestinians, he added. No neutrality Based on this conduct, 'Hamad declared that the US has proven itself to be an untrustworthy broker and complicit in the genocide of Palestinians. Responding to Trump’s threats regarding Israeli prisoners held in Gaza, 'Hamad said 'Hamas does not take instructions from Trump or care about his threats. “We act based on our legitimate and religious principles,” he affirmed, adding that those who bomb Gaza are the real threat to the captives’ lives. 'Hamad concluded by saying that Trump has always been on the wrong side of history, encouraging Israel to continue the war instead of seeking peace, further proof, in his view, of America’s complicity in this conflict. This was Hamad’s first public appearance since the bombing in Do'ha on April 9th, which killed one Qatari soldier and five Palestinians affiliated with 'Hamas Movement. *** European Commission proposes suspension of free trade with Israel, sanctions on two ministers BRUSSELS, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) – The European Commission announced on Monday a proposal to suspend free trade with Israel and sanctions on two Israeli ministers. “Following the announcement of President Ursula von der Leyen in her State of the Union address, the European Commission presented today its proposal to the Council to suspend certain trade-related provisions of the Association Agreement between the EU and Israel (“the Agreement”)” the Commission said in a press statement. In her address before the EU Council, von der Leyen said: “What is happening in Gaza has shaken the conscience of the world,” as she denounced “the actions and statements by the most extremist ministers of the Israeli government which incite violence,” and she condemned Israel’s “clear attempt to undermine the two-state solution.” Separate from the proposal, the Commission announced that it was also freezing its bilateral support to Israel, a step that “affects future yearly allocations between 2025 and 2027, as well as ongoing institutional cooperation projects with Israel and projects funded under the Regional EU-Israel cooperation facility.” The Commission noted that it made these proposals following “a review of Israel's compliance with Article 2 of the Agreement, which found that actions taken by the Israeli government represent a breach of essential elements relating to respect for human rights and democratic principles.” “This breach refers to the rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza following the military intervention of Israel, the blockade of humanitarian aid, the intensifying of military operations and the decision of the Israeli authorities to advance the settlement plan in the so-called E1 area of the West Bank, which further undermines the two-state solution,” it elaborated. “The horrific events taking place in Gaza on a daily basis must stop. There needs to be an immediate ceasefire, unrestrained access for all humanitarian aid, and the release of all hostages held by Hamas,” Von der Leyen said. “The European Union remains the biggest donor of humanitarian aid and an unwavering champion of the two-state solution. Reflecting these principled commitments, and taking into account serious recent developments in the West Bank, we propose to suspend trade concessions with Israel, sanction extremist ministers and violent settlers, and put bilateral support to Israel on hold,” she added. The Commission explained that the suspension “concerns the core trade-related provisions of the Agreement, and in practice means that imports from Israel will lose their preferential access to the EU market. These goods will therefore be charged duties at the level applied to any other third country with whom the EU has no free trade agreement.” The suspension of the free trade provisions would require the approval of a qualified majority of the 27 EU members, which is also known as a “double majority rule” of at least 55 percent of member states (15/27) and 65 percent of the EU population. The EU is Israel's biggest trading partner, accounting for 32% of Israel's total trade in goods with the world in 2024. Israel is the EU's 31st largest trading partner. Total trade in goods between the EU and Israel in 2024: €42.6 billion. The EU's exports to Israel amounted to €26.7 billion. K.F. *** President of European Council welcomes proposal to impose sanctions on Israel BRUSSELS, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) - President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, welcomed the European Commission’s proposals on the suspension of certain trade provisions of the Association Agreement with Israel, and on sanctions against extremist ministers and violent settlers. In a post on X, the President of the European Council stressed, “It is now for member states to decide.” He stressed that the purpose of these measures is to demonstrate that Europe cannot accept the actions of the Israeli government in Gaza and the West Bank, which have gone far beyond Israel’s legitimate right to self-defense. The post read: “The situation in Gaza is catastrophic and unacceptable. An immediate ceasefire is urgent. Full humanitarian access must be re-established. The hostages have to be released unconditionally.” In another post on X, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen stated that the Commission is proposing sanctions on extremist ministers and violent colonists, along with the suspension of trade concessions with Israel. T.R. *** Gaza: Israeli army thwarts WHO’s efforts to provide hospitals with fuel Wednesday 17-September-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Ministry of Health has accused the Israeli occupation army of deliberately hindering the World Health Organization’s (WHO) efforts to provide fuel for hospitals in Gaza Governorate. “The occupation authorities are blocking the entry of fuel supplies needed to operate electric generators in Gaza’s hospitals, which will bring health services to a complete halt,” the health ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. The ministry warned that the ongoing fuel crisis threatens to bring medical services to a standstill at hospitals, including Al-Sahaba Hospital and the Public Aid Hospital, noting that ambulances and the central oxygen station are expected to stop working within a few days. It appealed to all concerned parties to intervene immediately and ensure the safe delivery of fuel necessary for the operation of hospitals in Gaza Governorate. *** PCHR: Israel uses mass killing to displace Gaza residents Wednesday 17-September-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) has accused Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) of committing systematic mass killings against civilians in Gaza City. The center warned of a dangerous escalation following Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement of a wide-scale military operation in the city. In a statement issued Tuesday, the PCHR, (a civil society organization based in Gaza), reported that the IOF intensified its airstrikes since dawn, targeting two residential blocks in the Al-Daraj and Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods. The attacks resulted in the deaths of 41 Palestinians, dozens of injuries, and around 60 people missing under the rubble. The statement noted that Israeli warplanes destroyed homes belonging to the Taha, Masoud, Al-Sawafiri, Al-Hanjouri, and Saqallah families, while civil defense teams continue efforts to recover victims from the debris. Israeli airstrikes also targeted a residential block near the General Security headquarters in the northwest of the city, killing 8 Palestinians and injuring 40 others. Furthermore, the IOF detonated 9 explosive-laden robots carrying tons of explosives in the southern part of the city, destroying entire neighborhoods and displacing hundreds of families. In the Al-Sabra neighborhood, a strike on the Hindi family home killed four Palestinians. Nine displaced individuals from the Abu Ghoneimah family, including two women and five children, were killed when their tent was targeted in the Al-Rimal area of western Gaza. The PCHR affirmed that the IOF continues to bomb residential towers and high-rise buildings, while simultaneously issuing illegal evacuation orders to residents and displaced persons, forcing them toward the Al-Mawasi and Khan Yunis areas, both of which are subjected to daily bombardment and suffer from severe shortages in essential services. The statement highlighted that tens of thousands of citizens are now homeless and face immense challenges in evacuating due to lack of resources, amid ongoing heavy bombardment that obstructs field documentation efforts. The PCHR described Netanyahu’s statements, along with what it called the “political cover” expressed by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as a clear admission of intent to commit genocide against Palestinians and to erase their physical and cultural existence. It called on the international community, United Nations bodies, and the Security Council to take urgent measures, including imposing immediate protection for civilians, opening safe corridors for humanitarian aid, halting the use of weapons targeting residential areas, and compelling Israel to stop what it described as “genocide” in the Gaza Strip. Supported by unwavering US backing, Israeli occupation forces are waging a genocidal war on Gaza. According to local statistics, the war has resulted in 64,905 deaths, 164,926 injuries, over 9,000 missing persons, and a famine that has claimed hundreds of lives. More than two million Palestinians now live in conditions of forced displacement amid widespread destruction. *** “You cannot live there”: Spanish doctor shares testimony on the mass killing of children in Gaza Wednesday 17-September-2025 MADRID, (PIC) The Spanish newspaper El País published an article by Spanish doctor Raúl Incertis, who volunteered in the emergency and anesthesia departments at two hospitals in Gaza between April and July of this year. In the article, he shares his testimony of what he witnessed of the tragedy befalling children and other civilian victims. He said that just three weeks after arriving, he lost the ability to count the children who were amputated, disfigured, torn apart, and burned children that the medical team had to treat not to mention those who died among them. Incertis added, “There is a black cloud in my head, made up of horrific images that will not let me forget. So many people died right in front of our eyes despite our desperate attempts to save them, including those who drew their last breath as we provided care.” He continued, “I lost the ability to count the transport carts or donkey-pulled wagons full of bodies on their way to the morgue, which the hospitals never stopped receiving. They went in and out as if it were a factory where workers clock in and out except they were dead. Most of their faces were frozen in terror, reflecting their last feeling before being killed.” The Spanish doctor recounted the bombing of a six-year-old girl, whose image remains seared in his memory, “I held her severed, burned arm to move it aside because it was in our way as we tried to give her a chance to live. She was wearing an undershirt printed with little sheep, which we had to cut off to examine her. But she later died, and I never learned her name.” He pointed out that the arrival of civilians was a daily occurrence, sometimes several times a day, many of them with bullets in the head and chest. “They were human beings just like us, standing in line to receive humanitarian aid, and they were targeted by sniper fire, tanks, mortars, and drones. There were 40, 60, or 90 wounded all at once and on one morning alone, the number of people we received exceeded 200.” He went on to say, “We stumbled over the wounded lying on the ground and even fell on top of them. Many were children and women. Their numbers were beyond what we could handle, and many died waiting for help that never came.” Children first The doctor said that amid this hellscape, he was sure of at least one thing, “We must start with the children.” He recalled another case of a girl no more than a year and a half old, shot in the chest while in her mother’s arms. She had come from one of the so-called “humanitarian safe zones” in Gaza a scene he described as disgusting given what happened. Incertis also witnessed Dr. Alaa, a pediatrician, lose a large part of her soul when nine of her ten children, along with her husband, were killed in an Israeli airstrike while she was on duty. He added, “I don’t know where she found the strength to come back three days later, dressed in mourning, to thank the doctors who treated her only surviving child, Adam.” The doctor said he lost count of the number of parents who had lost their children, and of the women and men he saw lying on the ground in shock or screaming as they received their dead children on hospital beds. Colleagues who lost family He stressed that all of his colleagues, without exception, had lost first or second-degree relatives. Among them was Ahmed, the surgical nurse, who was killed with his three children by a bomb that struck his hut. Incertis noted that no one had ever been able to put a smile on his face the way Ahmed did despite his suffering and miserable circumstances always greeting him warmly and offering a kind word that made him feel like a better person. He explained that the medical team would receive, almost every night, entire families after their huts were bombed in the displacement camps in the so-called “humanitarian zone” in Al-Mawasi the very place they had been ordered to flee to in order to avoid Israeli attacks, and where they are now being told to go again. Incertis concluded his article by saying, “Others may decide later whether what happened was genocide or not, but I have crossed Gaza length and breadth, and I know one thing for sure: you cannot live there.” *** ****** Gaza death toll reaches 65,062 since onset of Israeli aggression in October 2023 - Medical sources GAZA, September 17, 2025 (WAFA, PIC) - The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported today that 98 bodies and 385 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza during the past 24 hours. Thus, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 65,062, the majority of whom were women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 165,697 others have also been injured. This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews. The Ministry confirmed that since Israel broke its ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip on March 18, 2025, at least 12,511 civilians have been killed, and 53,656 others have been injured. The Ministry also reported that, over the past 24 hours, seven civilians have been killed and more than 87 others have been injured while attempting to receive humanitarian aid. This brings the total number of aid seekers killed in aid-related attacks to 2,504, with at least 18,381 others wounded. Hospitals in Gaza recorded four new deaths in the past 24 hours as a result of famine and malnutrition, bringing the total to 432 deaths, including 146 children. T.R. *** Dozens of casualties in relentless Israeli attacks on Gaza Wednesday 17-September-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Israeli occupation army continued, last night and on Wednesday, to carry out intensive deadly strikes and target civilians in different areas of the Gaza Strip — mainly in Gaza City, where a large-scale military operation started yesterday. According to local media sources, Israeli forces continued today to detonate and bomb more homes and tents and displace families across the Gaza Strip, further deepening the dire humanitarian crisis as the population grapples with worsening famine. According to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter in Gaza, Israeli attacks have continued across the Gaza Strip, including airstrikes that killed dozens of civilians in Gaza City. In southern Gaza, five civilians were martyred in an Israeli airstrike on a tent sheltering a displaced family in Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younus. Another Israeli attack on an area near Al-Sa'haba farm in Al-Mawasi claimed the lives of three citizens and injured others. Al-'Awda Hospital received last night three martyrs, including a pregnant woman, and wounded four people after the Israeli army bombed a house in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in central Gaza. Three people were also killed in an Israeli airstrike on an apartment in Gaza City’s Tel El-Hawa neighborhood. Casualties, including two martyrs, were reported in another strike on an apartment in Gaza City’s 'Aidiya street. The Israeli army also launched attacks on other areas of the Gaza Strip last night and today, killing and wounding more civilians, including children and women. Meanwhile, dozens of people were martyred or injured in Israeli attacks on aid seekers near distribution points in separate areas of Gaza. Four people were also proclaimed dead due to starvation and malnutrition, while other Gazans were pronounced dead after they succumbed to injuries they sustained in recent attacks, according to Gaza’s health ministry today. *** At least 45 Palestinian civilians killed in ongoing Israeli strikes across Gaza GAZA, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) – At least 45 Palestinians, including 23 from Gaza City, were killed and others were injured on Wednesday in the ongoing Israeli shelling of the Gaza Strip, according to local sources. In the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, six Palestinians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting homes in the camp. Two more people were killed and dozens were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the vicinity of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza City. Rescue teams announced that five Palestinians were killed and more than 50 others were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a gathering of displaced people waiting to receive humanitarian aid near a distribution center north of Rafah. The Nasser Medical Complex in the Gaza Strip reported that five Palestinians were killed as a result of an Israeli bombing that targeted a tent for displaced people in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis. Meanwhile, one civilian, his pregnant wife, and his daughter were also killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Two more Palestinians were also killed and others were wounded in an Israeli shelling of an apartment in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood south of Gaza City. In the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of Gaza City, several civilians were killed and wounded in an Israeli bombardment targeting the Ajur building, while Israeli fighter jets bombed a house on the neighborhood's first street. Medical sources announced yesterday that 108 people were killed in the Gaza Strip, including 39 in the north, nine in central areas, and six in the south. Y.S. *** Israeli massacre in Gaza City leaves dozens of civilians killed and wounded GAZA, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) – The Israeli occupation army committed a new massacre this evening in Gaza City, killing and wounding dozens of civilians, including women and children. WAFA correspondent said the Israeli army targeted a group of civilians near al-Shifa Hospital in western Gaza City as they were fleeing south. The attack has so far left 13 civilians killed and dozens of others injured, most of them in critical condition. Video footage showed numerous bodies scattered on the ground, torn and charred, as residents attempted to carry them to the hospital amid shock and panic. In a separate attack, two civilians were killed and eight others wounded in Israeli shelling that struck an apartment near al-Quds Hospital in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of the city. Medical sources at the field al-Saraya Hospital reported the arrival of three bodies and 11 injured after the army targeted the al-Sahaba Street area in Gaza. Hospital sources in Gaza said the overall death toll since dawn today has risen to 74 civilians as Israel’s massacres continue. T.R. *** Israeli army attacks Ranteesi Children’s Hospital in Gaza City Wednesday 17-September-2025 GAZA, (PIC) The Palestinian health ministry has strongly denounced the Israeli strikes on Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital in Gaza City late Tuesday night. According to the ministry on Wednesday morning, the attack targeted the upper floors of the hospital in three successive strikes, each separated by only a few minutes. The ministry described the attack on the hospital as “part of a systematic policy aimed at disabling Gaza’s healthcare system.” Al-Rantisi is Gaza’s only specialist children’s hospital, providing oncology, dialysis, and other critical services such as respiratory and digestive care. At the time of the strikes, 80 patients were receiving treatment, including four children in intensive care and eight newborns in neonatal care. The bombing forced 40 patients and their families to leave in search of safety, while 40 others, including 12 who still need intensive care, and 30 medical staff remained. *** Palestinian photojournalist Mu'hammed Alaa Al-Sawali'hi killed by an Israeli genocidal airstrike on Gaza City RAMALLAH, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Palestinian photojournalist Mu'hammed Alaa Al-Sawali'hi was killed this evening by an Israeli genocidal airstrike on Gaza City. The Palestinian Journalists’ Syndicate mourned Al-Sawali'hi, a cameraman for Al-Quds Al-Youm TV, who was killed in Gaza City in a direct Israeli airstrike, while performing his journalistic duty covering the crimes of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. In its statement, the syndicate stressed that the assassination of Al-Sawali'hi reflects the continuation of the systematic aggression on journalists and media institutions in Palestine, aimed at silencing the voice of truth and concealing crimes committed against the Palestinian people. It slammed the repeated targeting of journalists as a flagrant violation of international laws and conventions that guarantee the protection of journalists in conflict zones. The syndicate condemned the suspicious international silence and the reliance on mere condemnation statements, stressing that this failure only emboldens Israel to persist in its crimes against journalists and civilians. It called on the International Criminal Court to take urgent and concrete measures to hold Israeli leaders accountable as war criminals, and urged the international community, the Security Council, and the United Nations to shoulder their legal and moral responsibilities and adopt decisive resolutions to end the aggression and provide immediate protection for journalists in Palestine. PPS said that other detainees had been released later during the same day. The IOF also stormed Ramallah City yesterday, bringing with them a female prisoner called Hanaa Baydaq during a raid on her apartment. She was arrested on September 7 along with her husband Bashar at-Tawil, who was released later. *** Jerusalem Governorate: Israeli intensification of military checkpoints and iron gates aims to isolate the city of Jerusalem from its surroundings JERUSALEM, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) – The Jerusalem Governorate said that Israel’s continued intensification of military checkpoints and iron gates surrounding Jerusalem and its suburbs is part of a systematic policy aimed at isolating the city from its Palestinian surroundings and subjecting its residents to a repressive regime of discrimination and segregation. The latest of these barriers were set up in the villages and towns of Mukhmas, ar-Ram, and al-Eizariya in the past three days, the governorate explained in a statement today. The governorate cited recent figures from the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission showing that by mid-2025, Israel had established around 904 fixed checkpoints across the West Bank, including dozens of new gates installed at the entrances of Palestinian towns and villages. Jerusalem and its suburbs accounted for about 88 of these gates, especially at the entrances of Qalandia, ar-Ram, Hizma, Anata, Mukhmas, al-Eizariya, and around Issawiya and Jabal al-Mukabber, in addition to permanent checkpoints at the gates of the Old City and the entrances of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The governorate emphasized that these policies constitute a blatant violation of the right to freedom of movement, as guaranteed under Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 12 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. It explained that such measures amount to collective punishment, in direct contravention of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, which obliges respect for the rights of civilians under occupation and guarantees their freedom of movement without arbitrary restrictions. The governorate warned that turning these gates into military-controlled crossings obstructs patients from reaching hospitals, particularly the Makassed Hospital and other medical centers in the city. It said the gates also prevent students from accessing schools and universities and hinder workers and employees from reaching their workplaces, further aggravating economic and living conditions. It added that the gates undermine freedom of worship by restricting Palestinian access to Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, except under permits and restrictive conditions. The governorate said that the network of checkpoints and gates is part of Israel’s plan to Judaize Jerusalem, describing them as a tool to impose new realities, detach the city from its natural extension in the West Bank, and transform its towns and suburbs into isolated enclaves. At the same time, colonists enjoy unrestricted movement, while Palestinians are confined by barriers, walls, and iron gates, reflecting a clear policy of racial discrimination and apartheid. The governorate reaffirmed its outright rejection of these policies and called on the United Nations and the Human Rights Council to act immediately to compel Israel to comply with its obligations under international humanitarian law and UN resolutions, particularly Resolutions 242 and 2334. It urged the International Committee of the Red Cross to fulfill its monitoring role and ensure Palestinians’ freedom of movement in Jerusalem and its suburbs. It also called on the international community to impose sanctions on Israel to halt practices that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. The governorate concluded that the installation of gates and checkpoints around Jerusalem is another step in Israel’s attempts to impose control and displace the city’s indigenous residents. It stressed that such practices will not alter the fact that Jerusalem is a Palestinian Arab city under occupation, and that all Israeli measures there are null and void under international law. T.R. *** *** Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers *** Note: Despite the Trump administration support for the Israeli occupation apartheid regime, the U.S. official policy is still considering the Israeli settlement activities in the Palestinian territories as illegal. *** Several Palestinians sustain injuries in an attack by the illegal Israeli settlers, near Ramallah RAMALLAH, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians on Wednesday evening sustained injuries in an attack by the illegal Israeli settlers attack to the east of Rammoun village, east of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources. They said that armed illegal Israeli settlers descended upon a Bedouin community, east of the village, and assaulted the inhabitants, inflicting wounds and bruises across their bodies. The assailants seized a herd of sheep belonging to the community. Palestinian medics provided first aid treatment to four casualties and rushed them to a hospital. The settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities. The settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others. Approximately 1 million illegal Israeli settlers are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law. K.F. *** Illegal Israeli settlers graze their livestock on Bait Dajan lands east of Nablus NABLUS, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) – A group of the illegal Israeli settlers on Wednesday released their livestock on Palestinian-owned lands in the village of Bait Dajan, east of Nablus, according to local sources. Sources said that a group of colonists grazed their livestock on Palestinian-owned land in Bait Dajan, causing damage to trees and agricultural crops. These attacks are part of a systematic policy pursued by colonists against agricultural lands and pastures, aimed at tightening the noose on Palestinian residents and forcing them to abandon their lands for the benefit of colonial expansion. The settler violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023. The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned. Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank. T.R. *** *** News Related to the Israeli Genocidal War on the Palestinian People *** King of Spain condemns Israel’s attacks on Gaza as an “unbearable humanitarian crisis” Wednesday 17-September-2025 CAIRO, (PIC) King Felipe VI of Spain has denounced during a visit to Egypt on Tuesday what Palestinians in Gaza are enduring under Israel’s genocide, describing it as “suffering beyond description.” His remarks follow repeated calls by the Spanish government for action to pressure Israel into halting the genocide. “The Israeli attacks have resulted in a large number of victims and have turned into an unbearable humanitarian crisis, with suffering beyond description for hundreds of thousands of innocent people and the total destruction of Gaza,” King Felipe said. The Spanish monarch, who rarely comments on international political issues, stressed that his visit to Egypt comes “at a troubled and tragic time for the region.” Spain’s government, which officially recognized the State of Palestine in May 2024 alongside Ireland and Norway, has emerged as one of Europe’s most outspoken critics of Israel. Madrid has taken multiple measures aimed at halting what it openly calls genocide in Gaza. On Sunday, the final stage of Spain’s renowned cycling race, La Vuelta, was canceled after nearly 100,000 people filled the streets of Madrid to protest Israel’s participation, according to local authorities. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has also proposed banning Israel from all international sporting events “as long as the barbarity in Gaza continues.” Since October 2023, Israel, backed by the US, has waged a genocide against Gaza’s population, marked by mass killings, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, in defiance of international calls and International Court of Justice rulings. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, the genocide has killed nearly 65,000 Palestinians and wounded 165,000. Starvation has claimed the lives of 428 Palestinians, including 146 children. *** Qatar condemns Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza City Wednesday 17-September-2025 DOHA, (PIC) The State of Qatar has condemned, in the strongest terms, the large-scale ground operation launched by the Israeli occupation regime to take control of Gaza City, describing it as part of the genocidal war against the Palestinian people and a blatant violation of international law. In a statement on Wednesday, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that the Israeli occupation seeks to undermine the prospects for peace in the region through systematic plans that pose a threat to regional and international peace and security. The ministry denounced Israel’s “brutal genocidal war on Gaza” and its “settlement, colonial and racist practices based on the logic of supremacy, aggression and betrayal.” The ministry called for decisive international action to compel Israel to comply with international resolutions. The ministry reiterated “Qatar’s firm and permanent position in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people’s steadfastness, in accordance with international resolutions and the two-state solution that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with east Jerusalem as its capital.” *** OIC General Secretariat welcomes report of independent international commission of inquiry on genocide in Gaza and calls for an end to this genocide and accountability for those responsible JEDDAH, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) - The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) welcomed the report issued by the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, which confirmed that Israel, the occupying power, committed the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The OIC General Secretariat called on the international community to take immediate action to end this genocide and hold those responsible accountable. The OIC General Secretariat also condemned the escalation of crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces, particularly the launch of a ground invasion of Gaza City, along with the continued starvation, abuse, destruction, and forced displacement of its population. The OIC General Secretariat deemed this to be an extension of the crime of genocide, and warned that the continuation of these crimes will lead to serious and catastrophic repercussions for the situation in the occupied Palestinian Territory. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation reiterated its call on the UN Security Council to take decisive action to impose an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire, end the Israeli policy of starvation and blockade, ensure the entry of humanitarian aid into all parts of the Gaza Strip, take the necessary measures to prevent the crime of genocide, and implement the provisional measures ordered by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in 2024 in this regard. T.R. *** UK health secretary criticizes Israel over MPs denied entry to occupied West Bank LONDON, September 17, 2025 (WAFA) - UK Health Secretary Wes Streeting has criticized Israel's "shameful but not surprising" actions after two medically trained Members of Parliament were denied entry into the occupied West Bank. He said in a post on X, “Having been on a number of delegations to Israel and Palestine, including with MedicalAidPalCaabu, I find the treatment of two highly respected clinicians and Members of Parliament by the Israeli government shameful, but no longer surprising.” Streeting included in his post a statement from the Council for Arab-British Understanding, which stated that Israel prevented MPs Peter Brinsley and Simon Opher from traveling to the occupied West Bank. The statement stated that the purpose of this visit, organized by the Council for Arab-British Understanding (CAABU), was to enable Members of Parliament to witness the vital medical and humanitarian work of a range of organizations, including Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) in the occupied West Bank. The statement noted that Simon Opher and Peter Prinsley, both respected medical professionals, were travelling as part of the delegation, which was also due to meet British diplomats in Jerusalem, in addition to Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations. “It is deeply regrettable that the Israeli authorities prevented them from seeing first-hand the grave challenges facing medical facilities in the region and from hearing the British government's assessment of the situation on the ground,” read the statement. Access to the occupied Palestinian Territory requires passing through crossings controlled by Israel, the occupying power. In recent months, Israel has prevented numerous parliamentarians and other figures from entering Palestine, citing their opposition to the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip. T.R. *** Twenty aid agencies call for world intervention to save Gaza from ongoing genocide Wednesday 17-September-2025 GAZA, (PIC) More than 20 leading humanitarian agencies have issued an urgent call for world leaders to intervene in Gaza after a United Nations commission concluded for the first time that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians. In a joint statement on Wednesday, the agencies urged all UN member states to act on the mandate that created the international body 80 years ago, warning that the situation in Gaza is “not only an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe but genocide.” Aid leaders described the suffering as unbearable, pointing to mounting deaths, starvation, and civilians being shot at while trying to access relief supplies. “The Strip is on the brink of its deadliest phase in history if no immediate action is taken,” the agencies said, adding that governments must act now to halt the systematic destruction of life and end the occupation. The warning came as Israel announced the expansion of its ground assault on Gaza City, part of its operation dubbed “Gideon’s Chariots 2.” The Israeli war minister declared that the offensive would continue until Israel achieves “its goals.” Backed by US military and political support, Israel has waged a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, that has killed 64,964 Palestinians, wounded 165,312, and left at least 428 martyrs who died from famine, including 146 children. UN Secretary-General António Guterres said on Tuesday that he will refer the Gaza and West Bank situation to the International Criminal Court, stressing that what is happening is “systematic destruction of a city” and “morally, politically, and legally unacceptable.” He accused Israel of showing no openness to serious peace talks and being determined to “go all the way.” Adding to the alarm, UNICEF warned on Tuesday that nearly half a million children in Gaza are suffering severe psychological trauma after more than 700 days of continuous violence. Speaking via video link from Al-Mawasi camp, UNICEF spokesperson Tess Ingram described conditions as inhumane, “It is unconscionable to expect half a million children, who have endured unimaginable violence and trauma, to flee one hell only to end up in another.” She recounted meeting a mother named Israa walking with five children, hungry, thirsty, and two barefoot, “heading into the unknown with little hope of finding safety.” Ingram also reported that some children had been killed while trying to fetch water. According to UN data, more than 140,000 residents have fled Gaza City since mid-August, but displacement camps in the south are overcrowded and dangerously under-resourced. Some displaced families are even returning to bombarded areas under Israeli army fire due to dire conditions in the camps. Despite mounting global condemnation, Israel continues to press its genocide. Human rights experts and humanitarian agencies insist that the genocide and starvation in Gaza demand urgent global intervention before the crisis deepens further. *** =============================================================================================================================== Editorial
